Our core values are established directly from the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, meaning not only do Chicago Fire Juniors, players and families live by them, but also the Chicago Fire's front office, 1st team staff & players, Chicago Fire Academy staff, players and families and finally all those involved with the other Fire Juniors clubs in the network.
This top-down approach allows for the same principles and beliefs to be ingrained into each person attached to the Chicago Fire and Fire Juniors. These core values represent who we are and what it means to be a part of the Chicago Fire Family.
To narrow our club's purpose and clarify its identity, the Chicago Fire discussed WHO ARE WE and WHAT WE DO during the summer of 2017. The questions were then presented to the players and staff and, after aggregating and narrowing their answers, the CORE VALUES were presented to the front office leadership and adopted.
Through the Core Values, Fire Juniors PASS programming (Player Advisory Support Service) delivers leadership and character development that is important for training our athletes, inspiring personal development, and furthering the continuity in our club cultures. By defining our Core Values, the club commits to the "HOW"and "WHY" in our decisions regarding players, parents, and our communities. Over time, these will become the foundation for a cohesive Fire Juniors club’s culture that leads the evolution of youth soccer in the US.
During 2019, we will integrate these Core Values into our clubs’ and players’ development. Fire Juniors members can look forward to workshops centered on leadership development, goal setting, and character development. The Fire Juniors PASS Program will work with club leadership on workshops that implement the Core Values for players, coaches, and parents. The CFJ PASS program is already in motion with goal setting and captain leadership workshops scheduled for the CFJ clubs this spring.
