CHICAGO (July 13, 2018) – Chicago Fire Juniors, the official youth soccer program of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club, is delighted to announce a partnership with The Coaching Manual as its official online curriculum partner.
Both groups kicked off its partnership in early July, when TCM Head of Player Development Steven Crane conducted a series of sessions for Fire Juniors technical leaders here in Chicago. Staff from across the affiliate network were present for a mixture of off-field workshops and on-field sessions.
This partnership will see all 300 Fire Juniors coaches and staff across the 11 Fire Juniors clubs nationwide utilizing TCM as part of their process for curriculum and session planning. Some of the benefits include;
Access to thousands of online sessions already on The Coaching Manual
A Fire Juniors only online platform that allows Fire Juniors coaches to share their sessions across the whole network
An online session planning tool for coaches to create their session plans with
A consistent player development framework and curriculum that will be utilized across the affiliate network
"I am excited to finalize this partnership with The Coaching Manual and further provide our affiliate clubs and coaches with best-in-class resources. With increased access to technical resources, this will continue to allow for improved player development as well as coach development. I am looking forward to seeing the growth of the initiative in the future" said Youth Development Manager, Jamie Lyons.
Led by Chicago Fire Academy’s Technical Director Cedric Cattenoy, the move is part of the program’s goals to synergize all technical resources and identify a more unified way of developing soccer players to achieve excellence on and off the pitch.
